Ranger Investment Management announced the appointment of Melanie Mendoza as chief compliance officer.

Mendoza, who will report to Partner Joseph LaBate, is also a member of the firm’s compliance; environmental, social, and governance (ESG) advisory; and cybersecurity committees.

Taking the reins as interim CCO in 2021, Mendoza previously founded MHM Consulting, an independent compliance consulting service to registered investment advisers.

Before her time at MHM, she served as chief compliance officer for Matarin Capital Management, helping develop ESG policy.

She also previously held the role of CCO for over a decade as a founder of Credo Capital Management, where she led a team “implementing an industry-leading compliance program,” according to her LinkedIn profile.
