Coherent Corp, provider of materials, networking, and lasers, announced that it has appointed Rob Beard as the company’s new chief legal and global affairs officer, and corporate secretary. The company has also promoted Marie Batz Martin to chief compliance officer.

Beard joins Coherent from Mastercard Incorporated, where he was chief legal and global affairs officer. Before Mastercard, he spent nearly a decade at Micron Technology, including as general counsel and corporate secretary.

Martin joined Coherent Corp in January 2023 as vice president & general counsel, global compliance. Previously, she was executive vice president, general counsel, chief compliance officer, and corporate secretary for FlightSafety International.
