Wolters Kluwer Financial Services, a provider of regulatory intelligence, policy management, process management, and oversight to the financial services industry, announced the launch of its Compliance eLearning Solutions, online training courses for U.S. securities professionals.

“Compliance officers are faced with the difficult task of ensuring employees are learning and understanding the information they need for their specific job roles,” said Anna Monteiro, senior director of Regulatory Products at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. “The interactive courses help minimize that challenge, while providing confidence that the transfer of knowledge has occurred with each employee—something that can’t always be achieved through more passive educational tools or communications.”

The courses offer financial services firms customizable tools for communicating compliance obligations to employees, and helping employees understand the firm’s policies and procedures. The courses cover various compliance topics, including:

Money laundering prevention;

Conflicts of interest;

Financial sanctions;

The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; and

Ethical standards.

The eLearning platform allows securities firms to create customized portals for employees based on their individual needs, considering various factors, such as business area, job role, and location. Each course is interactive, asking users for input and testing them on the information that is presented. The learning management system covers an array of standard reports, which enable the compliance officer to actively monitor the progress and success of each employee.
