Wilshire Bancorp, the parent company of Wilshire Bank, announced that Kyu-Hyun Kim and Young Hi Pak have retired, effective Dec. 31, 2013, from both the company and the bank's board of directors after 20 years of service.

Effective as of Jan. 1, 2014, the company has elected two new board members.

Steven Didion will serve as a member of the company's nominating, corporate governance, and human resources committee. He also will serve as chairman of the bank's asset, liability management committee, and as a member of the information technology committee.

Didion is currently general partner and Portfolio Manager of JCSD Partners, a bank-focused investment fund. He has spent the past 25 years working with large and small banks, including serving as chief executive of

investment firm Hoefer & Arnett, and initiated its eventual merger with Howe Barnes to form Howe Barnes Hoefer & Arnett.

Daisy Ha serves as a member of the nominating, corporate governance, and human resources committee, as well as a member of the audit committee. In addition, she serves as a member of the bank's asset, liability management committee, and the compliance, community reinvestment act committee.

Ha is an attorney with 10 years of experience in a variety of legal areas, including employment law, criminal law, and general civil law, and has worked extensively within the U.S. District Court and the California Courts of Appeal.
