Accounting Officers and Controllers

de Kool

Sara Lee Corp. has announced that its chief accounting officer and controller, Richard Hoker, is resigning to pursue other professional opportunities. Theo de Kool, who is chief financial and administrative officer, will serve as chief accounting officer.

$3 billion Energizer Holdings has appointed John McColgan chief accounting officer, vice president, and controller, effective January 2008. McColgan has served as vice president, corporate controller, and treasurer of Playtex Products, a subsidiary of Energizer Holdings, since 1992. He replaces Mark Schafale, who has accepted a new position with the company.

Tandy Brands Accessories has appointed Janna Keck chief accounting officer and controller. Prior to this appointment, Keck had served as the company’s corporate controller since August 2002.

Barnes & Noble has hired Allen Lindstrom as corporate controller. Prior to joining the company, Lindstrom was chief financial officer of Liberty Travel.

Princeton Review has appointed Susan Rao chief accounting officer. Rao has been the company’s treasurer and executive vice president of finance since September, and served as a consultant to the company since August.

$660 million Om Group has appointed Robert Pierce corporate controller and chief accounting officer. Pierce served as controller since January 2004 and as director of financial reporting and technical accounting from July 2002 to January 2004.

$163 million Shuffle Master has promoted Coreen Sawdon to chief accounting officer. She is the first chief accounting officer in the company’s history. Prior to her new appointment, Sawdon served as the company’s vice president of finance and accounting since July 2005.

General Counsels, Corporate Secretaries

$1.6 billion Suburban Propane Partners has promoted Paul Abel to vice president, in addition to his current role as general counsel and secretary. Abel, who joined Suburban Propane in June 2006 as general counsel and secretary, will continue to oversee all matters relating to the many regulatory and governance requirements of the Partnership.

Rudolph

Jack in the Box has hired Phillip Rudolph as general counsel and corporate secretary. Rudolph previously served as vice president and general counsel for the Ethical Leadership Group, a Wilmette, Ill.-based ethics and corporate responsibility consulting firm.

The Cooper Cos. has appointed Daniel McBride general counsel. McBride joined Cooper in February 2005 as senior counsel, and in June 2006, he was named senior counsel of Cooper Companies and general counsel of CooperVision.

Hotel chain owner and operator Accor North America has promoted Dana Peluso to senior legal counsel. Peluso joined Accor North America as corporate counsel in April 2005.

$1.4 billion Champion Enterprises has appointed Roger Scholten senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary. Scholten joins Champion after a 25-year career with Maytag Corp.

Chief Compliance Officers, Risk Officers

$18 billion MassMutual Financial Group has appointed Elizabeth Ward chief enterprise risk officer. She replaces John Skar, who has retired. Previously, Ward was managing director at Babson Capital Management, a MassMutual subsidiary, with responsibility for MassMutual’s portfolio consulting group.

On the Board

Lyles

$9.6 billion KBR has elected Gen. Lester Lyles to its board of directors. He will also serve on the audit, compensation, health, safety and environment, and nominating and corporate governance committees. Before he retired from active duty in 2003, Lyles served as commander of the Air Force Material Command where he was the senior uniformed official for logistics and services.

TRX, a global technology company based in Atlanta, has elected Mark Bell to serve on the board of directors. He will serve on the audit committee and the compensation, corporate governance, and nominating committee. Bell is a retired senior partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers, with more than 36 years of experience.

The Andersons recently selected Catherine Kilbane to serve on its board of directors. Kilbane, who is senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary for American Greetings Corp., has also been chosen to serve on the audit committee. Her appointment expands the number of board members to 11.
