Morford

Craig Morford, acting deputing attorney general of the Department of Justice, has joined Cardinal Health as chief compliance officer, effective May 5. Morford will assume the duties from Daniel Walsh, who created Cardinal’s ethics and compliance department three years ago. Walsh’s departure comes amid federal investigations into Cardinal’s distribution of controlled substances.

Leonard Wiatr has joined PrivateBancorp as chief compliance and regulatory affairs officer. Wiatr joins the company from LaSalle Bank Corporation, where he had served as executive vice president and chief compliance officer.

Accounting Officers, Controllers

Tiesi

$74 billion Altria Group has announced the resignation of Joseph Tiesi as vice president and controller. Tiesi’s resignation, in addition to four other senior executives, follows the company’s separation from Philip Morris International. Linda Warren, who has served as vice president and controller of Philip Morris USA since 2005, will assume Tiesi’s position.

Discover Financial Services has named Kevin Killips to the newly created position of controller and chief accounting officer. Killips comes to DFS after nearly ten years with LaSalle Bank Corporation, where he most recently served as executive vice president, North American chief accounting officer, and corporate controller. He will report to Chief Financial Officer Roy Guthrie.

$7.7 billion eBay has appointed Phillip DePaul as its vice president and chief accounting officer. DePaul joins the company from OfficeMax, where he’s served as senior vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer since 2003.

$4.7 Cameron International, a manufacturer and service provider to the oil and gas industry, has appointed Christopher Krummel as vice president, controller, and chief accounting officer. Krummel, who has been with the company since October 2007, succeeds Charles Sledge, who has been named as the company’s chief financial officer.

Movado Group, a watch manufacturer based in Paramus, N.J., has named Sallie DeMarsilis chief accounting officer and chief financial officer. Prior to joining the company earlier this year, DeMarsilis served as senior vice president of finance with The Warnaco Group, a global wholesaler and retailer of apparel. She succeeds Eugene Karpovich, who will remain an officer of the company.

Antivirus software provider McAfee has appointed Keith Krzeminski as chief accounting officer. Krzeminski has served as senior vice president of finance since joining the company in March 2007.

General Counsels, Corporate Secretaries

Deckelman

$15 billion Computer Sciences Corporation has appointed William Deckelman as corporate vice president, general counsel, and secretary. Deckelman joined CSC two months ago after 14 years with Affiliated Computer Services, where he most recently served as executive vice president and general counsel. He replaces Hayward Fisk, who will continue to serve as a corporate vice president until his retirement later this year.

$18 billion Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company has promoted Sheldon Francis to vice president and assistant general counsel in the law division’s investment law group. He is based in the Charlotte, N.C. office of Babson Capital Management LLC, a MassMutual subsidiary. Francis joined MassMutual in August 2006.

Michel

Choice Hotels International has named Sandy Michel senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary. Michel, who has over 25 years legal experience, most recently served as executive vice president and general counsel of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

On the Board

Compton

John Compton, chief executive of PepsiCo Americas Foods, has been named to the board of directors of Pepsi Bottling Group. Compton was chief executive of PepsiCo North America since November 2007.

Air Products & Chemicals has elected John McGlade as chairman of its board of directors. McGlade, who has been with Air Products since 1976, is president and chief executive officer of the company. He succeeded John Jones, who retired in October 2007.

$2.5 billion Acuity Brands has elected George Guynn to its board of directors. He will also serve on the governance and audit committees. Guynn served as president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta from 1996 until his retirement in October 2006.

Diamond Foods has elected Edward Blechschmidt as a member of its board of directors. In addition, he will serve as chairman of the audit committee. Blechschmidt served as chief executive officer of Novelis, an aluminum product maker, from December 2006 until its sale to the Birla Group in May 2007.

Douglas Beeuwsaert has joined Lyndon Group as project manager in the new ethics and compliance practice. Beeuwsaert, a former internal audit executive at Petco Animal Supplies most recently served as vice president of performance and assessment at the Open Compliance and Ethics Group.
