I have not seen any specific statements from the SEC on this yet, but reports continue to surface that tips are now pouring in to the agency under the new whistleblower provisions of Dodd-Frank. The latest report comes from a story yesterday in the WSJ's Corruption Currents blog, which states that the SEC is now receiving at least one tip a day about potential foreign bribery violations under the FCPA.

Many attorneys have predicted that complaints under the FCPA will be a particularly fertile area as the stakes in such cases (and therefore the potential awards to whistleblowers) can be enormous. As discussed here, the SEC has been gearing up for this expected surge in complaints for many months, and just wrapped up a job posting for a new “Whistleblower Coordination Officer.”
