Wesco Aircraft Holdings, a provider of supply chain management services to the aerospace industry, has appointed Norton Schwartz to its board of directors, effective immediately. He will also serve on the nominating and corporate governance committee.

Schwartz retired from the U.S. Air Force in 2012 after nearly 40 years of service. From 2008 to 2012, he served as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force, responsible for the organization, training and equipping of active-duty, guard and reserve forces and civilian workforce serving in the United States and overseas. As Chief of Staff, he was a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff providing military advice to the Secretary of Defense, the National Security Council and the President. Prior to that, he served as commander of the United States Transportation Command from 2005 to 2008 and director for operations and director of the Joint Staff from 2002 to 2005.
