Wells Fargo, a financial services company, has appointed David Julian as chief auditor.

Julian will assume this role from Kevin McCabe, who will retire June 30.

Julian joined Wells Fargo in 1997 and most recently served as head of market and institutional risk. Previously, he served as head of corporate credit services and was chief auditor for Wachovia prior to its merger with Wells Fargo. At Wachovia, he also served as chief operating officer for finance, corporate controller and principal accounting officer, and director of corporate accounting and reporting.

He also was senior vice president for Forum Corporation and has worked at PwC.
