Last week, I moderated an excellent webcast looking at "SEC Enforcement-Key Developments in 2011." The three members of the panel all previously served as senior lawyers or accountants in the SEC's Division of Enforcement: Andrew Vollmer and Douglas Davison, securities partners at law firm WilmerHale; and Marty Wilczynski, Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting.

The webcast looked at the most important developments of the past year, including:

Key insider trading cases;

CDO cases against broker-dealers and investment advisers;

Supreme Court decisions on elements of fraud cases;

Auditor regulation issues;

Developments in the SEC enforcement process; and

Developments in the settlement process.
