Vertex Pharmaceuticals announced in a Form 8-K that Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, Kenneth Boger, will retire from the company on Sept. 23.

Effective upon Boger's retirement, he will be succeeded by Ty Howton, who currently is the company's chief compliance officer.
