Unilife Medical Solutions Limited has appointed John Lund to its board of directors as a non-executive member. He also will serve as chairman of the audit committee.

Lund brings to the board valuable expertise in the areas of SEC reporting and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and financial analysis, most recently serving as an acquisition accounting consultant over the past year. His previous positions include: vice president and controller of Nexstar Broadcasting Group; vice president of finance and corporate controller for LQ Management; and CFO at North American telecommunications company CS Wireless Systems.

Lund's appointment brings the number of Unilife's board members to five.
