Time Warner, a media and entertainment company, has named Maurice Edelson as a senior vice president and deputy general counsel. From February 2011 until January 2012, Edelson was a member of Time Inc.'s interim management committee, which led the company during a transition period between CEOs.

Prior to becoming general counsel and executive vice president, he served as Time Inc.'s senior vice president, strategic planning with responsibility for corporate strategy and M&A. Edelson began his career in Time Inc.'s law department in 1998. Before joining Time, he served as a corporate counsel at Viacom, and prior to that he was associated with the law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore.
