The Phoenix Companies, a boutique life insurance and annuity company, has announced that chief accounting officer Michael Hanrahan resigned from the company on March 23.

David Pellerin, senior vice president and chief risk officer, will assume the responsibilities of chief accounting officer on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is found.

Pellerin has served in several senior financial roles since joining the company in 1983. Most recently, in August 2009, he was appointed chief risk officer, after serving as chief accounting officer since November 2007. In February 2007, he was chief financial officer and senior vice president.
