Symantec has appointed Andrew Del Matto as chief accounting officer and senior vice president, effective April 30. Matto assumes this role from Phillip Bullock, who will leave his position to lead the tax department at Apple.

Matto has served as the company's corporate treasurer and vice president of finance business operations since September 2009. During his seven-year tenure, Matto has also led the corporate financial planning and analysis, and revenue and cost accounting teams.

Prior to joining Symantec in January 2005, Matto served in various finance and accounting leadership roles at Inktomi Corporation and SGI Corporation. He began his career at KPMG as a certified public accountant.
