Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a breast cancer organization, has appointed Ellen Willmott as general counsel, effective June 18. She assumes this position from Mark Solls, interim general counsel. Her duties will include oversight of regulatory compliance and international and domestic partnerships.

Willmott joins the organization from Save the Children, where she served as vice president and general counsel, overseeing legal matters for domestic operations and international partnerships.

Willmott joined Save the Children legal staff in 1996 and was appointed to her most recent position in 2011. During her tenure, she oversaw legal issues of international operations, and she established Save the Children's cause-related marketing compliance program.
