Many ethics and compliance (E&C) programs have refocused their efforts away from bribery and corruption and onto data security and privacy, complex government regulations, artificial intelligence (AI) security, and other contemporary challenges, a survey from compliance solutions provider LRN found.
LRN’s “2024 E&C Program Effectiveness Report” surveyed 1,415 ethics, compliance, and legal professionals worldwide. It found about 94 percent of E&C programs prioritized their efforts on analyzing and complying with complex government regulations; 91 percent on data protection; and 90 percent information security challenges, including AI.
Respondents represented 19 different countries and 26 industries. Forty percent were based in Europe, 34 percent in North America, and 26 percent in the Asia-Pacific regions.
