Law firm Foley & Lardner has appointed Christopher Cutler as partner in the securities enforcement and litigation practice. In his new role, Cutler will represent clients involved with investigations before the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Prior to joining Foley & Lardner, Cutler was a partner at law firm McGuireWoods. He specializes in securities enforcement and litigation law representing international and national accounting firms, companies, auditors and individuals in civil, criminal and regulatory matters.

Cutler formerly served as the assistant director of the division of enforcement for the PCAOB, where he helped design and implement many of the division's current enforcement policies and procedures. Prior to this, he served as senior counsel for the SEC, where he opened the Enron investigation.
