The Securities and Exchange Commission has announced that Lorin Reisner, a former federal prosecutor and current litigation partner at international law firm Debevoise & Plimpton, will join the Enforcement Division as deputy director in early August.

Reisner has been a litigation partner at Debevoise & Plimpton since 1996. His practice has emphasized white collar criminal matters, internal investigations, securities and commercial litigation, and media and intellectual property litigation.

Reisner previously served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York from 1990 to 1994, where he investigated and prosecuted financial crimes, public corruption, organized crime, and narcotics and firearms offenses. In addition, Reisner served as a law clerk for the Honorable Milton Pollack of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
