He also is very active in the profession of internal auditing through his association with the IIA.

He is the author of the two most downloaded IIA products: a guide for management to Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, and a methodology for defining the scope for Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 of IT general controls (the GAIT Methodology). He led the development of IIA responses to proposed rules by the PCAOB and SEC, is the editor of the Corporate Governance column in the IIA’s Internal Auditor magazine, a member of the editorial review boards of four internal auditing publications, a frequent speaker on the subject of Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 (including multiple IIA Webcasts), and the author of award-winning articles published in the Internal Auditor.
