Safe Communications has elected John Bluher as chairman of its board of directors. Bluher was additionally named to Safe Communications' Advisory Board in March.

He will replace Les Ottolenghi, who resigned due to pressing family obligations and to devote more time to his company, Fuzebox. Ottolenghi has agreed to serve as adviser to assist the company in establishing appropriate strategic partnerships.

Bluher has specialized in investment management and corporate governance as well as most aspects related to private equity and hedge fund creation.  Following his service as Senior Counsel for the Division of Enforcement at the Securities and Exchange Commission. Bluher served in various capacities in several major investment firms, including general counsel and corporate secretary and director of risk management of Knight Trading Group, and vice president, regional and divisional counsel at Prudential Securities.
