Rouse Properties, a real estate investment trust, has promoted Timothy Salvemini to the position of chief accounting officer.

Salvemini joined Rouse in January 2012, following the company's spin-off from General Growth Properties. At that time, the company entered into a services agreement with Brookfield Asset Management under which Salvemini, a Brookfield employee, would serve as vice president of finance for up to 12 months.

Prior to joining Rouse, Salvemini served as director of finance and accounting at Brookfield Investment Management.  From 2006 until 2010, he served as director of finance and accounting at Crystal River Capital, a publicly-traded real estate investment trust. Earlier in his career, Salvemini served as a senior audit manager at a public accounting firm.
