Risk Integrated, a provider of quantitative risk analysis software for financial institutions active in commercial real estate lending or project finance, has announced the launch of SFS (Specialized Finance System) Cloud-Burst.

Prior to Cloud-Burst, risk managers could use parallel processing to reduce the overall run times but were limited by the amount of physical hardware installed. This also required a significant initial expense for banks to purchase, accommodate, and maintain servers.

With Cloud-Burst, risk managers can access the massive computational processing power of cloud providers without having to purchase, store, and maintain servers in-house. This allows risk managers to save time and money by obtaining detailed, accurate results quickly. The SFS risk engine analyzes portfolios of any size, allowing users to provision hundreds of servers on-demand and run portfolio risk scenarios at any time.

At the heart of SFS Cloud-Burst is a software and network interface between the existing SFS software, installed either on the bank's in-house infrastructure or in a partner data-center with Risk Integrated's outsourced offering. The offering also includes a suite of available-on-demand cloud servers that are already configured with the SFS risk engine software.
