PwC U.S. has named Vin Colman, formerly vice chairman for the firm's east region, as leader of PwC's U.S. Assurance practice. He succeeds Tim Ryan, who leads PwC's U.S. Markets, Strategy and Stakeholders practice.

Colman brings more than 30 years of experience to his role, serving large multinational companies in the areas of accounting, auditing, financial reporting, mergers and acquisitions and risk management. As vice chairman, Colman led the markets in the east in client service and practice development of PwC's Accounting, Tax and Advisory lines of service.

Previously, Colman served as PwC's U.S. Assurance managing partner where he oversaw the operations of the Assurance practice including transaction services, markets, industry sectors and human capital.  He also previously served as the leader of PwC's national office, in which he had overall responsibility for formulating the firm's positions on technical accounting, auditing and SEC reporting matters.
