$9.1 billion Progress Energy has elected John Baker to serve on its board of directors.
With more than 35 years of experience in the construction materials and trucking industries, Baker currently is president and CEO of Patriot Transportation Holding. Previously he served as president and CEO from 1997 to 2007 for Florida Rock Industries, a company he joined in 1974.
