Software company Pegasystems has appointed Anne Warner as general counsel and chief compliance officer. She will be responsible for leading Pegasystems' global legal and compliance groups.

With more than 20 years of experience as in-house counsel, Warner previously served as executive director and international counsel at Alexion Pharmaceuticals. During her time with Alexion, Warner led global initiatives on international corporate structuring, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and policy development.

Prior to Alexion, Warner was senior counsel of mergers and acquisitions for medical-device company Inverness Medical (now Alere). Previously, she was general counsel to two privately held software companies.
