The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board has appointed Ian Anderson to the newly-created position of regional associate director in the Division of Enforcement and Investigations, where he will lead the board of directors' enforcement work in its New York Office.

Prior to joining the PCAOB, Anderson served as senior trial counsel in the division of enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission in Miami, where he prosecuted cases involving accounting fraud, registration violations, failure to supervise trading activity and other federal securities law violations.

Prior to joining the SEC, Anderson worked as an associate at law firms Chadbourne & Parke and Davis Polk & Wardwell. He also served as a law clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
