The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has appointed Beth Slavet as the new director of the Whistleblower Protection Program.

Slavet has more than 30 years of experience with the enforcement of federal whistleblower statues. She is the former chairman of the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board, where she also served as vice chairman and a member from 1995-2003.

She has spent the past ten years in private practice, with special focus on whistleblower protection.
