OCC, an equity derivatives clearing organization, has appointed Richard Wallace as senior vice president and chief compliance officer.

Wallace comes to OCC from law firm Foley & Lardner, where he was a partner. At Foley, Wallace represented securities broker-dealers, hedge funds, mutual funds, investment advisers and their employees in investigations and disciplinary proceedings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

Previously, Wallace served as vice president and chief counsel in FINRA's Market Regulation Department. Additionally, he has served as a branch chief and attorney with the SEC's Division of Enforcement.
