Yesterday, I wrote here about a case filed by the SEC in which a company's CFO allegedly responded to news from a co-worker that the company has engaged in improper accounting by recording false revenues by covering his ears and saying, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I don't want to hear it."

Shortly after posting that yesterday, I received a copy of a press release issued on behalf of the CFO, Todd

C. Crow. Defendants in SEC cases usually keep a low profile but Crow is fighting back, flatly denying the SEC's allegations and pointing the finger back at the former co-worker who apparently testified about the alleged "no, no, no" incident.

Crow says that the SEC's entire case is based "on the undocumented and uncorroborated accusations of NutraCea's former controller, Joanne Kline, who is now a suspended CPA." The press release suggests that Kline's statements to the SEC helped her obtain a lenient resolution of the case against her, and states that Crow will now take the case to trial in federal court in Arizona.
