Nextpoint, a provider of cloud-based regulatory, compliance, and litigation software, has announced newly launched support for blogging channel Tumblr.com in Cloud Preservation, Nextpoint's forensically-sound social media and Website preservation product.

Tumblr allows users to upload multimedia content of all types, including text, photos, quotes, links, music, and videos from phone, desktop, email, and other mobile platforms. That's where Nextpoint's Cloud Preservation service comes in handy by giving users an immediate on-demand solution to securely preserve multimedia content from social networking sites, blogs, and public-facing websites.

Not only are Tumblr posts stored as they appear to Website viewers, but Cloud Preservation also forensically archives multimedia file resources used within posts. Photos, video, and audio from posts are all automatically archived. Just as video files from sources like YouTube and Vimeo are viewable within Cloud Preservation, audio files shared on Tumblr can also be played without leaving Cloudpreservation.com.

Nextpoint's Cloud Preservation service also includes Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Flickr, among others.
