Andrew Sandler and Benjamin Klubes, two leading financial services enforcement and litigation attorneys formerly with Skadden, Arps, joined with financial services law firm Buckley Kolar LLP, to form the new firm, BuckleySandler LLP on March 20.

BuckleySandler, with more than 50 experienced financial services and litigation lawyers, serves major financial services clients throughout the United States in regulatory, enforcement, litigation, transactional, and public policy matters. Office locations include Washington, DC, Los Angeles, and a new one opening in New York.

Sandler, former head of the Consumer Financial Services Litigation Practice at Skadden, Arps, where he practiced with Klubes, served as the lead defense counsel in more than 70 class-action cases in federal and state courts throughout the country representing banks, insurers, mortgage, credit card, and auto lenders and other financial services companies. In addition, BuckleySandler has announced the appointment of 13 new litigators to the firm, all from Skadden. They include:

Andrea Mitchell, formerly of Skadden and currently employed by the federal government, has also joined the firm.

In other news, Sandler also will be assuming the title of CEO of Corporate Risk Advisors LLC, where he, along with Buckley, will be leading that multi-disciplinary consulting firm, which provides compliance and risk-management services to the financial services industry. Corporate Risk Advisors brings together tenured executives who have held senior leadership positions in Fortune 100 companies, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies will further help clients to develop business strategies and navigate the current challenges facing the financial services industry.
