The American Bar Association has appointed Joseph Zwicker, a partner in the government enforcement & compliance and major commercial litigation practice groups at Choate, Hall & Stewart, as co-chair of the white collar and corporate investigations sub-committee for the ABA's securities litigation section. As co-chair, Zwicker will provide leadership, expertise, and experience to the ABA in responding to critical issues facing members and the legal profession.

Zwicker has more than 20 years of experience in federal and state government enforcement matters and complex business litigation. At Choate, Zwicker represents companies and individuals regarding healthcare, securities fraud, and other actions brought by state and federal enforcement officials. He also litigates complex commercial disputes involving securities and other investment frauds, breach of contract, intellectual property, lender liability, civil RICO actions, and other actions.

Prior to joining Choate, Zwicker was an assistant U.S. attorney in the major frauds section of the U.S. attorney’s office in Los Angeles, Calif., where he investigated and prosecuted individuals and companies regarding complex federal financial crimes, including securities, accounting, and insurance fraud, as well as money laundering, obstruction of justice, and criminal tax offenses.
