Lincoln Electric Holdings, a welding manufacturer, has appointed Curtis Espeland to its board of directors.

Espeland has been senior vice president and chief financial officer at Eastman Chemical Company, a chemical, fiber and plastics manufacturer, since 2008. He joined the company in 1996 and has held a number of positions in the corporate and finance organization. He was vice president, finance and chief accounting officer from 2002 to 2008.

Prior to his position at Eastman, he was an audit and business advisory manager with Arthur Anderson in the United States, Europe and Australia.

With this addition, the number of directors will total 12.
