Kroll Advisory Solutions, a risk mitigation and response solutions company, has appointed Lonnie Keene as managing director in the transaction intelligence and compliance practice. Keene will advise companies on their compliance, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and international sanctions programs.

Keene has over 25 years of transactional, compliance, government and market entry experience, with emphasis on anti-money laundering, the Office of Foreign Assets Control, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Keene has served as the court-appointed independent monitor overseeing Western Union's anti-money laundering program in the Southwest border area for the past two years. He founded Keene Global Consulting in 2010, and also served as executive vice president, chief compliance officer and government affairs for MoneyGram International. In this capacity, he was responsible for the company's global compliance program and its relationships with lawmakers and regulators.

From 2002 to 2008, Keene served as vice president at investment banking and securities firm Goldman Sachs. He was later promoted to associate general counsel, advising the global business lines on transactional risk.
