Keynote Systems, a provider of on-demand mobile and Internet test and measurement solutions, has promoted David Peterson to chief accounting officer, effective as of June 1.

Peterson has served as corporate controller since 2009 with responsibility for worldwide accounting and financial reporting, including Securities and Exchange Commission filings, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and internal management accounting.

In other news, Keynote also named Curtis Smith as CFO. He replaces Andrew Hamer, who resigned June 1. For the past three years, while with GCA Savvian Advisors, Curtis has served as an adviser to Keynote and is "intimately familiar with our company's operations, market, and organization," Keynote's chairman and CEO, Umang Gupta, said in a prepared statement. Smith will report to Gupta, effective July 1.
