J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., has named Gregory Baer, a deputy general counsel at Bank of America Corporation, to the newly created position of managing director and general counsel for corporate and global regulatory.

The bank said it created the new position to handle all the new financial regulatory reform. JP Morgan General Counsel, Stephen Cutler, announced Baer’s appointment in an internal company memo, noting that Baer will be joining the firm at the end of September.
