Johnson Controls, a global diversified company in the building and automotive industries, has named Mark Koczela to the newly created role of vice president of compliance as part of the company's ongoing efforts to be a global leader in ethics and compliance.

Koczela has been with Johnson Controls since 2000, serving as general counsel for both its Power Solutions and Building Efficiency businesses, and most recently as associate general counsel for the company. As global vice president and general counsel for Building Efficiency, Koczela helped lead the team responsible for driving the company's anti-corruption compliance program.

In his new role, Koczela will be responsible for driving and improving Johnson Controls' global efforts to ensure integrity and compliance with the company's Ethics Policy and applicable laws and regulations. He will chair Johnson Controls' corporate compliance committee and report to Jerry Okarma, vice president, secretary, and general counsel.
