Jane Garvey, the former CEO of U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, recently quit the board of Canadian jet and train manufacturer Bombardier to join U.S. President-elect Barack Obama’s team.

Garvey was the head of U.S. Federal Aviation Administration from 1997 to 2002, becoming the first administrator to be appointed to a five-year term, first female administrator, and the first who was not a licensed pilot.
