$640.5 million Innospec, an international specialty chemicals company, has appointed David Williams as vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer, effective Sept. 17.

In his new position, Williams will lead Innospec's already established compliance program, as well as developing it further to comply with the legal framework in which the company's businesses operate.

With over 25 years experience as a lawyer, Williams joins Innospec from MarkWest Energy Partners, based in Denver, where he was responsible for diverse legal matters. Previously, Williams worked at the Records Improvement Institute, first as director of legal services, and later as a manager and senior consultant, when Huron Consulting Group acquired the company in October of 2005.
