Huntington Ingalls Industries, a manufacturer of nuclear and non-nuclear ships for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, has appointed Chad Boudreaux to the newly created position of chief compliance officer. He will report to Corporate Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Bruce Hawthorne and the audit committee of the board of directors.

Boudreaux joined HII in 2011 as corporate vice president for litigation, investigations and compliance. He will continue this role while providing centralized oversight, leadership and coordination of the company's compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and its policies and procedures designed to prevent misconduct. He will also regularly assess and improve compliance efforts and anticipating future compliance needs.

Before joining the company, Boudreaux worked for law firm Baker Botts, where he established the global security and corporate risk counseling practice group. Previously, he was the Deputy Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He also held various leadership positions at the U.S. Department of Justice.
