HomeStreet, a financial services company, has appointed Cory Stewart as chief accounting officer and executive vice president. He will be responsible for the company's accounting, finance, taxation and planning functions.

Stewart joined HomeStreet in March 2012 as senior vice president and corporate controller of the company and senior vice president of finance and accounting for its banking subsidiary, HomeStreet Bank. Previously, he served as director of finance at Volt Information Sciences, a consulting firm, from February 2009 until March 2012. Prior to Volt, Stewart spent seven years at Washington Mutual in various finance, accounting and enterprise risk management roles.
