Hearst Corporation has promoted Jonathan Donnellan to deputy general counsel, litigation and Mark Redman to deputy general counsel, corporate. Both lawyers were previously senior counsels for Hearst Corporation.

Donnellan has been senior counsel at Hearst since 2003. He is responsible for all litigation and content-related legal matters company wide. Donnellan and the Office of General Counsel lawyers handle virtually all of the company's litigation in house and he serves as lead counsel for Hearst and its properties in trial and appeals courts nationwide. Earlier in his career he served as vice president and deputy general counsel at the New York Daily News, and assistant general counsel at CNN.

Redman joined Hearst as counsel in 2003. He is responsible for corporate legal matters company wide. Redman and the Office of General Counsel lawyers have been actively involved in all of Hearst's acquisition activity. Previously, he was director of legal affairs for SmartMoney magazine from 2001 to 2003 and before that, vice president and general counsel for FreeRide.com.
