Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corporation, a provider of dredging services and commercial and industrial demolition and remediation services, has appointed Maryann Waryjas as chief legal officer, corporate secretary and senior vice president, effective immediately. Additionally, Kathleen LaVoy has been named general counsel, dredging operations and vice president.

Waryjas joins Great Lakes from law firm Katten Muchin Rosenman, where she served as partner and co-chair of the firm's corporate governance and mergers and acquisitions practices since 2000. During her time here, she focused on corporate and securities law, private equity transactions, corporate governance, SEC compliance, and enterprise risk management.  Prior to Katten, Waryjas served as partner at law firms Jenner & Block and Kirkland & Ellis.

LaVoy joined Great Lakes' legal department in 2007. Previously, she was an associate in the litigation department of law firm Winston & Strawn.
