Scotland-based consulting and engineering company John Wood Group announced Michael Rasmuson will join as group general counsel, effective Jan. 2.

Rasmuson will be based in Texas and report to Wood’s Chief Executive Ken Gilmartin.

He joins Wood from Nabors Industries, a global provider of advanced technology for the energy industry, where he was senior vice president, general counsel and chief compliance officer. He was formerly a long-term leader at Baker Hughes, one of the world’s largest energy services companies, and served as executive counsel for its product lines.
