TEGNA announced the appointment of Alex Tolston as senior vice president and chief legal officer.

Tolston will report to CEO Mike Steib.

Previously, he was executive vice president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary at Hemisphere Media Group. Before that, he practiced law in the corporate department at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, and was counsel to Hemisphere in its initial public offering.
