Synovus Financial Corp appointed Greg Montana, former executive vice president and chief risk officer of Fidelity National Information Services, to its board of directors, effective Jan. 1.

Montana retired from FIS in April 2023.

He has more than 25 years of leadership and risk management experience, having served in roles at Bank of America, PayPal, Lloyds Banking Group, Deloitte Consulting and JPMorganChase.
