Sky Mavis recruits ex-Robinhood compliance exec as general counsel

Nguyen will design and execute Sky Mavis’s strategies around Web3 legal issues, the company said on Twitter.

Nguyen joins Sky Mavis from fintech giant Robinhood, where he most recently served as general counsel and chief compliance officer of its cryptocurrency unit, according to his LinkedIn profile. He spent four years at the company, including one year as president of Robinhood Crypto.

Prior to Robinhood, Nguyen was senior counsel at Wells Fargo and worked as an associate at law firm Morrison Foerster.
