The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced that Division of Examinations Deputy Director Keith Cassidy, who was named interim acting co-director a year ago, will serve as interim acting director going forward.
In July 2023, Cassidy took the reins of the exams division along with Natasha Vij Greiner in response to then-Director Richard Best being placed on extended medical leave.
SEC Chair Gary Gensler wished Best well in a press release Monday as he takes time to focus on his health and thanked Cassidy for stepping in again to lead the exams division.
