Business services and consulting company Guidepost Solutions announced the appointment of Paxos Head of Compliance Gabriel Hidalgo as managing director.
He brings more than 25 years of experience as a senior compliance executive, Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering regulatory examiner, and trusted adviser.
Hidalgo most recently serving as head of compliance at itBit (now Paxos), a virtual asset exchange that received the first financial institutional charter provided to a virtual asset service provider within the United States.
He has also held prominent leadership roles at several financial institutions, including chief compliance officer at both Noble International Bank and Community Federal Savings Bank, along with compliance and legal roles at HSBC Bank, Morgan Stanley, Capital One Bank, and Deloitte Financial Advisory Services.
